career. - The Custom Design and Emerging Technology team is focused
on delivering next generation technologies through innovative
solutions. - If you have a passion for solving customer problems
from the IT hardware to the data center this is the right team for
you.What you'll achieveAs a Mechanical/System Technical Staff,
Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for developing
next generation data center infrastructure solutions at the server,
rack, and data center level. - You will work closely with DELL CTO,
sales teams, and customers to develop data center solutions. -
These solutions include next generation technologies for
mechanical, direct liquid cooling, thermals, and power. - -You
will:
- Manage multiple programs at once, some at the customer solution
level, others supporting new technology initiatives
- Develop system solutions from Compute to Customer Data Center;
design, develop, and implement cost effective methods of testing
and troubleshooting systems
- Demonstrate engineering rigor and leadership across various
disciplines, mechanical, power, and thermals
- Work with internal cross-functional teams, ODMs, and suppliers;
present often to Dell leadership and external customersTake the

looking for with this role:Essential Requirements
- 15+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree; or 8+ years
with a master's degree
- Experience solving complex thermal / mechanical problems from
the IT hardware level to the data center level
- Customer facing experience; excellent written and verbal
communication skills presenting to leadership and customers
- Efficient in the use of CAD and various simulation
software
- Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and
ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues quickly and
effectively; deep knowledge of Rack form factors, specifications,
and industry standardsCompensationDell is committed to fair and
